“… AND GOD SAID … “

“…   AND  GOD  SAID … “

 “… and God said… let us create man, in our image and likeness, and let him be fruitful on earth, be faithful to His Creator.  Let this Creation be the embodiment of ‘A Dream’ planned in eternity.”

And a child is born, today, the sixth month of May, in the year of the Lord, two thousand and twelve. What God had planned, had thought out, had breathed, at some point in time, lost in eternity, is, now, a new Creation, a New message of Love on a New day.

The new-born babe utters its first cry. But no man, no parents can ever decipher that cry, that sound…only God can. That first cry, be it a shriek, a short cry, a long piercing cry has a Message from the Creator:  “This is proof of my Love to you, dear couple. THIS is my Love and Blessing to you both, pro-creators.  Nurture it, for this is clear proof that I, God, exist. I am in your midst, in the form of a new-born babe. Treasure it, overshadow it with love. Defend it with your own life. I AM in your midst.”

Every new Creation is a Gift from God. A Message, loud and clear can be felt in our innermost heart, of our being…though not audible to the ear, but the message IS there: “I am the Author of Life.”

God has decided to send a ‘Gift of Love’, He has sent ‘A New Creation’. That was God’s Wish. But man, the weakling creature, whose span of life might be  a mere hundred years, to the most, has decided otherwise. He has decided to challenge God, the eternal, Almighty God.

The Source of Life and Love has been challenged. Man declares: “I am my own god, who dares tell me what to do, who dares offer me gifts I have not asked for? I am my own God. I do not want any gifts. What I decide is my law.”

… and the new life, the new creature, the new message of God’s Love is (it’s hard to say the word) eliminated, killed, murdered, ABORTED.    

“Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.”  Almighty God, in the name of all humanity, please do accept this petition of Love, uttered by Your Beloved Son on the Cross. Yes, please, DO forgive them and enlighten them.

Reflection:                                                                                                                           How merciful and loving is Jesus, excusing His own enemies … can greater love be ever shown on earth ? They know not what they do. But, unfortunately, many DO know what they are doing, especially those who already anticipate the act of Abortion.

Lord, we sincerely pray and hope that ALL those who plan to abort, ‘do not know what they do’; through sheer ignorance, through fear, through lack of knowledge, because they are blindfolded, emotionally drunk. 

We do not pity only sweet, cuddly babies being aborted, we have to realise that even those babes who are not sweet and cuddly, those who are not going to be physically, mentally or emotionally pefect… just the same in that frail body there is the ‘spark’ of life, God has breathed life into them as well.

It is a false, erroneous argument to put forward;  that the world would have been much poorer without a Beethoven, without a Mozart, without Milton, St.Augustine, Aristotle, Mother Theresa, Karol Woytila. And a host of other bright stars … for it is LIFE that is at stake, not the contribution one can give to the world. LIFE is God-given.

The Day of Reckoning will surely come …                                                                       … it might be this very day. I implore you all; World Leaders, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Senators, who have the  power (“…you would not have any power, where it not given to you from above”) to legislate AGAINST abortion.                      Do NOT be responsible for the death, the murder, the manslaughter of thousands and millions of aborted lives. No eternity would be enough to pay for such offences.

On our death-bed, we become aware, our eyes open and see ourselves as we REALLY are … but THAT WOULD BE TOO LATE.
