THE EMPTY TOMB

Further to my previous posting under the above title, I think I should add a small but very relevant detail, as pointed out by my dear friend, Bishop Sylvester Magro of Benghasi.

This is the detail; the German Commandant, Keppler, vowed that eventually they would destroy the Church. The Monsignor answered: “Two thousand years ago the then reigning powers said and tried to do the same thing, that is, destroy the Church. But look around you, and see for yourself: what's left of them. What’s left of the Roman Empire, and it’s rulers, are these ruins. But the Church is still here! You are repeating their same mistake!"

This declaration echoed all round the Colosseum, all round every arch, it was magnified, and this message was sent throughout the whole world, a message, loud and clear; from North to South, from East to West.

The pity is that such a message has always been ignored, by some. Many are still turning a deaf ear, it is still being ignored, by the new, rising generation of those trying to drown, to destroy the Church and do away with Christ. But all those who believe in Christ know and believe in His prophetic words: “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it,” whilst recalling the other promise: “I shall be with you till the end of time.”
