"But the Angel said: "Do not fear Mary,
for God has looked kindly on you.
Behold, you shall conceive and bear a Son
and you shall call Him Jesus."
(Luke 1:30,31)

Novena Day 2:
Reflection: Mary, dear Mother of Jesus, you were young when, by the Power
of the Holy Spirit you conceived the Child Jesus. You were afraid, unsure of how
to handle things, what to say, how to explain, how to care for a child. But you
trusted in God and accepted this Gift growing within you. Mary, Mother of Jesus,
pray for mothers, especially those most afraid, help them so that like you
they may trust in God and allow their unborn children to grow and live.

Today, think of expecting mothers. Think of how young and afraid many might be/are. Pray that they can find the support they need to choose life for their children and if you know someone who is expecting a child, be supportive and kind!
Prayer: God and Father of Life, You have created every human person, and have opened the way for each to have eternal life. We live in the shadow of death. Tens of millions of your children have been killed because of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
Father, have mercy on us, heal our world and accept our offering of prayer and penance. In Your love for us, turn back the scourge of abortion. May each of us exult in hearts full of hope and hands full of mercy and work together to build a culture of life.
We pray through Christ our Lord, Amen.

(This Prayer is from Priests of Life website,
May God continue to bless us through their work for life!)
